Prime Numbers 101

In modern western culture all of us are mathematicians. We all have to handle money, balance the checkbook, and count higher than 10. Before public education, most people could not add, subtract, or count beyond 10 (with their shoes on) . Now we live in a age of enlightenment, where everyone of us are aware of the wonderment of mathematics and can enjoy the simple pleasure of algebra. Some of us are math couch potatoes, some of us are weekend mathematicians, and some of us are math professionals. I am just an amateur and a hobbyist. By maintaining my amateur status I can still compete in the Mathematics Olympics.

For some reason the Mathematics Olympics just does not have the following that the 'other' Olympics has.
